Shout Out....

I just want to do a quick shout out to Crystal, Tawni and Marisa for their help in my new blog design! It was a monster to create...but with the help of these three, I think maybe I have it down!! THANKS GIRLS!

Update on Crew

Just wanted to give a little update on Crew. He is still not doing well. We did end up taking him back to the Doctor yesterday...and today. I called the Doctor's office yesterday and told them that I had been doing Crew's treatments and they just didn't seem to be helping. They asked how often I was having to do them, and I said every two to three hours...so they said get him in here. Anyway, his little lungs were closed up pretty tight, so they ended up giving him some kind of a shot with a steroid in it to try and open the lungs up, and then they also put him on an oral steroid, and said to keep him on his treatments every two to three hours, and hopefully we would see a change. On top of that, he has strep in his ear...WHAT? Who knew that could happen. So he is really sick...well we went back today because they wanted to do a re-check today to see if the shot and steroids had helped....and no they hadn't. He was actually breathing more rapidly and doing worse than yesterday. They checked his oxygen levels and they were not good, so they called the hospital and were told that there weren't any available beds right now. So then they decided to do some "super" breathing treatment (I am not sure what the name of it was,) but I was told that it is not something they frequently use, but sometimes it will open their lungs up. So after this treatment, Crew was doing a little better and seemed to be moving more air. I asked if I could get some of that stuff to take home to use in my machine and was told I would have to bring him back to the DR for another treatment of it...I couldn't have any. WHAT THE HECK!! Anyway, they sent us off for chest x-rays, and we won't know the results of those till tomorrow morning. In the mean time, we just continue his treatments and and try to stay out of the hospital. Jade and Dustin did give him a blessing...so we are just going to put our faith in that. So that is our update today...

Catcher is doing good, and has been a big helper in trying to keep Crew happy during treatments...thanks Catch!

Well here we go again! Sometimes I just don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Sleepless nights and days, the messy house because mom is out of energy, and the two "smileless boys." Crew has now been on breathing treatments for the last two days, and Catch started his today. As you can see, Catcher is a little Pro at his treatments. He has been doing them off and on since he was 15 months old. He has really bad asthma, and anytime a cold comes into our house, his little lungs just can't handle it, and we have to start with the "breathers." Little Crew on the other hand, this is his second go around, and he just doesn't seem to get used to it. He absolutely hates it. As do I!!!! Crew is especially cranky today, and I am worried that perhaps he has ear infections on top of the lung issues, so that will probably mean another trip to the Doctors by tomorrow. Oh fun, fun! I get tired of watching my little guys suffer. They are the greatest kids ever and they just make their mom melt. I just keep praying that they out grow this eventually, they are active kids, and I don't want anything holding them back!! I love you boys!

Instant Friends

I forgot to mention Crew's FAVORITE prize for the day! He also got a little something from the Disney Store...he got the little elephant from Jungle Book...and I cannot remember the elephants name for the life of me, so please leave a comment if you know it. Anyway, they have become instant friends..nothing like a new friend that can also be a chew toy when you need it.

A Day of Fun and a Little Shopping Too....

Today we went to the new San Tan Mall. It is the first time we have been, and the weather was perfect out. I really like the idea of an outside mall this time of year, but I don't know about this summer!! It was a great day of fun and a little shopping. My Mom went with us, and that made Catcher's day. The stores that seemed to take most of our time and attention were the Disney Store, and the Children's Place. Well I guess that was mostly my attention, but Catch loved the Disney Store and even got a little prize while we were there. He got a little Jungle Book play house/tree thing, with little action figures. They really had some great sales going on. Pictured above you can see Catch and Dustin setting it up, and shot of it all put together. Now the Children's Place, I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I absolutely love their clothes, but I hate that I can't leave without buying something!!!! Anyway, I bought the boys matching hats, and as you can see they are not baseball caps, which I would normally buy...but they are little old fashioned looking hats...little gangsta hats from like the 50's. I am totally picturing their Easter Pic's already..ha ha. I also bought Crew a pair of cute little shoes (pictured above). They actually fit his chubby little feet, they are stretchy. Anyway....it was a good day.

Happy Birthday Mark!

Today is Mark's Birthday! I just want to send a shout out and say Happy B-Day Mark. I love my brother very, very much. Mark and I have always been pretty close growing up. He was always someone that I could talk to and laugh with. My boys now think he is the greatest thing to ever happen...he plays with them and can always get them giggling. Thanks for all the fun memories Mark...I hope that you have a great Birthday!! LOVE YA!!!

Uncle Mark's Hat

On Friday when Mark came to pick up Madisyn he held Crew for a bit. He put his hat on Crew's head, and I had to get a picture. Zoom in and look at Crew's face, my boys have such chubby cheeks that they can't hide a smile behind a pacifier...their cheeks squeeze their little eyes when they smile! Thanks for the cute picture opportunity Mark!
